To say Lachlan and Emma were ready to get married and celebrate is an understatement. Em was pumped after her hens day and once all the planning was complete, she was really counting down the days until her dream Hubert Estate Wedding near Melbourne
The wedding day was the first wedding held at Hubert Estate (Harriett) and the venue really came to the party as well. The day was a typical Melbourne day – storm clouds. a little warm at times, pouring rain during portraits but we made it all work just fine. St Huberts have weather contingency built in – Lach and Em waited until the last moment before deciding to have their ceremony partially covered but still outside.
Lachlan and Emma’s pure joy on the day was CONTAGIOUS. These guys radiated love all day long and having their two kids there just added to the fun. It was so cute seeing little Percy jumping on the trampoline in his suit at the family home while he was getting ready with ‘the boys’. Ida got a little hot during the ceremony and whipped off her flower girl dress and they both went to play in the vineyards. You never know what kids will do at a wedding.
Hubert Estate is nestled right in the heart of the Yarra Valley wine country, making it a perfect spot to have your wedding and really treat your guests. There are multiple wedding photo spots at the venue so you only have to step out the door for those dreamy portraits. The reception also had a super spacious feel to it while still feeling intimate. It left plenty of room for a dancefloor plus a photo area for guests, and other props or spaces you need to carve out in your reception.
We had to shuffle portrait time due to the weather but they were still keen for a ‘rain photo’ and the whole family got in on the fun. It was indeed a very special experience for me doing wedding photography in Melbourne
