Kirsten and Sam started their day in their respective family homes, getting ready with family and friends and it was heart-warming seeing how excited they all were for their wedding day at Elmswood Estate near Melbourne. Kirsten’s mum had even made a stunning getting ready area upstairs which made the perfect backdrop for her bridal party portraits. The weather was one of those typical Melbourne days that call for a flexible time-line – sunny one minute and cloudy the next. They tied the knot officially at Immaculate Conception in Hawthorn which has the most stunning steps for photos and group pics. They then carried on at Elmswood Estate which has sweeping views of the Yarra Valley as well as a decked area around the venue if the ground is a bit wet.
Sam and Kirsten incorporated some really fun traditions like 3 married women putting the veil on, a dance around the whole Elmswood Estate venue after dark conga line style, and also the best wedding speeches.
