Barwon Heads is a special place for both Matt and Sarah. They got engaged right next to the bridge and have always dreamed of a Barwon Heads Wedding. At The Heads was a perfect choice for a Geelong Wedding Venue – nothing says unique quite like At The Heads with its iconic pale blue building and timber floors. It’s also great for weather contingency – if it rains, the venue will simply move the ceremony inside, something Matt and Sarah did have to do but guests still have a perfect view of the bluff outside.
Matt & Sarah made a weekend of it – family, friends and bridal parties all started arriving on the Friday, and Matt and Sarah both stayed at local AirBNB properties with their bridal parties. I think they chose their venues so well – the verandah outside Sarah’s AirBNB was stunning.
Sarah wore a unique fit and flare gown from Eternal Bridal, and her hair and makeup was perfect thanks to Kate McCleary Hair and Makeup. How beautiful are the flowers too? These are from Beachside Blooms, the talented folk based in Ocean Grove and one of my favourites for Barwon Heads Weddings and geelong wedding venues in general.
The cake was elegant and simple and let the flowers really shine – See Emily Bake was responsible for the deliciousness. The band was also one of the best – just so talented. Those Baker Boys are serious talent and got the dancefloor pumping. The wedding party travelled in true style too – with Coastal Kombi Weddings, another iconic Barwon Heads Wedding vendor.
Torres Wedding Films captured the video – Josue is hugely talented and someone I often recommend for your wedding videos. You can check out his mini film from the wedding here.
Matt and Sarah had such a fun, unique and elegant wedding – check out the dancefloor pic where Sarah and Matt were lifted up in the crowd – love it!
